Registration is free and entitles you to register one handset and one phone number. Shortly after registering, a text message is sent to the registered handset containing a link to download the Road Angel Mobile Application. The download uses your handsets GPRS connection and it only takes a few minutes to download and install.
Road Angel Mobile is a subscription based service that is conveniently billed directly to your handset every fortnight via a reversed billing service. Reverse billing removes the need to set up a direct debit or renew your subscription on a regular basis. The initial registration entitles you to 2 days free subscription to the update service, allowing you to update as many times as you wish before needing to subscribe. To activate the subscription after this date, simply text the word ANGEL to 81581 from the registered handset.
Updates are carried out using the handsets GPRS connection and are important to ensure you receive alerts at new camera locations, remove alerts at decommissioned sites and make changes to the advisory speed limit at locations where this is given.
The fortnightly subscription costs £1.50 and is billed directly to your handset. You will be sent a subscription reminder text when your 2 day initial subscription expires. Once you subscribe, the service is then billed automatically every 14 days unless you choose to cancel.
